OUR SECURITY: SAFEGUARDING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization. We have implemented reasonable security measures to meet the ever-changing security threats of the internet. Our web applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and monitored by network engineers.

Steps we have taken to safeguard your online account and data:

  • Strong 128-bit encryption and SSL
This means that all data sent or received is scrambled while traveling between our systems and your computer, making your information very secure. SSL, short for Secure Sockets Layer, is a protocol for transmitting private information via the internet, using a private key to encrypt data that is transferred over the SSL connection. Addresses of web pages using an SSL connection start with https: instead of http: and most browsers also display an icon of a closed padlock when you visit a page using SSL.
  • Secure sign on
mySECURA is only available to policyholders. When you sign on to the site, you are required to provide a username and password. This secure sign on provides a private and secure environment to access policy and account information.
  • System protection
SECURA uses advanced firewalls and other security technologies to support the continued safety and security of our systems.

Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us at:

YOUR SECURITY: PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

Other things you can do to enhance your security whenever you are online include the following:

  • Use an internet firewall (hardware or software)
  • Use current software and operating system versions; get updates and security patches regularly.
  • Use anti-virus software and download updates frequently.
  • Use your own PC.
  • Choose a hard-to-guess password and change your password regularly.
  • Use a unique username/password, not one you use on other websites.
  • Use strong 128-bit encryption available in the latest version of your browser.
  • When finished, log off the website and close your browser.
  • For additional security, you can also clear your browser’s cache and temporary internet files.

Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Online Privacy Policy on the Site. Your use of the Site following these changes means that you accept the revised Online Privacy Policy.
